If you know the name BoDog, it's most likely not due to online poker. For the past ten years, BoDog has been one of the biggest names in the online sports betting community. Well, like any good company, BoDog has been looking to expand it's boundaries, and in the fall of 2004 opened up BoDog Poker. While this site may not be the biggest or the baddest online poker site at the moment, it has a lot of nice qualities and is ready to become one of the most popular sites on the net.
First, lets get the bad things out of the way. The biggest problem for BoDog Poker compared to the other online poker sites is this: BoDog only has six games: Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Texas Hold 'Em, 7 Card Stud, 7 Card Stud Hi-Lo and 5 Card Stud. If the limited selection is not a problem, however, then rest assured that this is a quality poker site. The games that the site does equip play well, and can be played for very low minimum bets. The pots on these games don't go too high, but maintain a nice average.
If you're a fan of sports betting, you can do that while playing on BoDog. Also, while poker may be a new addition, this site has been active for over ten years, and it shows. The support is very strong, and pay outs are handled quickly and professionally. If you're looking for a smaller site with a wealth of growth potential, be sure to visit BoDog Poker.
