Venetian Casino Opens New Poker Room

Removing 200 slot machines in order to make space available, the Venetian casino and resort is the latest of the Las Vegas strip casinos adding a poker room to their suite of services. This marks the third poker room for the Venetian, which opened a small one in 1999, the year that the Venetian was opened, and a second 10 table room a few years later. Both rooms closed due to lack of use. The new room, however, is likely to be around for a long time if the current poker fever is any judge. The new 11,000 square foot room, ringing in at a pricey but not surprising $2.6 million, will boast a seven table high limit area as well as a 32 poker table general play area.
