The World Series Of Poker Picks New Tournament Director
09th of February 2006
Poker is a game where anyone can be a champion and a star, but it makes it all the more interesting when the characters in the poker world come equipped with adventurous backgrounds. Such is the case for the third Tournament Director in three years for the World Series of Poker, Robert Daily. Daily was once an airplane pilot for the Vietnam War era airlines called Air America, which was run and operated by the Central Intelligence Agency. Daily says that some of the skills of a pilot, such as multitasking, translate into a poker career as well.
Owned and operated by, Harrah’s Entertainment, the World Series of Poker is in its thirty sixth year, and takes Daily from his job as the poker room manager at the Rio All- Suites Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to run the show at the 2006 WSOP.
