Surprise Million for Poker Cruise Passenger

In yet another story of poker serendipity a 22 year old student who wasn't planning on playing in a big poker tournament ends up the million dollar winner. Mike Schneider, who attends the University of Minnesota, got on board the PokerParty.com Million tournament cruise during spring break, planning on nothing more than enjoying the buffet and supporting friends who were playing in the event. When he decided to actually play a little poker, his buddies helped him with the buy in, and the next thing everyone knew, Mike was the winner. About $600,000 is his to keep after taxes, and some of that will go to those buddies who helped him buy his way in to the event. Mike is going to give being a professional poker player a shot after he graduates from school.
