Struggles Continue at World Poker Tour
06th 2006f October 2006
World Poker Tour Enterprises is once again having problems. The World Poker Tour announced that its television series, Professional Poker Tour, would be suspended this year to return in 2007. Apparently, World Poker Tour Enterprises found no one to pick up the Professional Poker Tour series this season, even though the shows were concentrated on the best players in the game. Along with the cancellation of its Professional Poker Tour Bellagio and Foxwoods tour dates in November, World Poker Tour Enterprises has been faced with a stream of lawsuits from former host Shana Hiatt, as well as a few notable players. World Poker Tour Enterprises is still in negotiations regarding the future broadcast of the series, but feels that the cancellations were necessary and in the best interests of tour participants.
