Poker Stars Shows Huge Growth

Do you play online poker? If you do, then one item you likely keep track of is how many players are online at any given time. This is important to online poker players because there needs to be enough players to give action, or professional poker players and amateurs alike may be sitting around wasting time waiting for a spot at a table, rather than playing poker. When Poker Stars started out they paid close attention to the number of players online, and just three years ago broke the 10,000 player milestone. Recently they trumped that accomplishment in a big way when they marked that, for the first time, 100,000 players were online at the same time. With so many players online the poker room supports them with tens of thousands of poker tables, about 40 times more than the largest live poker room in the world.
