Poker Playing Motorbikers Raise Money for Hospice

A poker run is a great way for motorbike enthusiasts to spend time doing what they love in a new way, driving a predetermined route and collecting poker cards to get the best poker hand. Along the way, they may even raise money for charity, as in the case of the first annual Heroes for Hospice Poker Run, scheduled for September 9th. A cash prize for the winners has been put up by Lynnco Properties. All players will be able to share a dinner with the purchase of the first hand for $20. Second hand can be purchased for $10 (but no meal ticket) and all proceeds go to Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley.
