13th 2005f October 2005
2003 World Series of Poker champion Chris Moneymaker, thought of with as a sort of “poker everyman” by his attention getting win after winning a seat at the WSOP main event via an online satellite tournament, will be teaming up with his counterpart in the world of stock car racing, the popular Jeff Gordon.
The Jeff Gordon Foundation has been named as the official charity of the 2006 World Series of Poker and will kick off this November and will be held in satellite locations and culminate at Caesar’s Palace. The events have been named The Jeff Gordon Foundation Poker Classic tournaments, and Moneymaker is looking forward to working with Gordon again.
“I have had the privilege to work with Jeff and his team on a series of licensed products," said Chris Moneymaker. "And I was honored to be asked to co- host this world class No Limit Hold'em Tournament with him at Caesars.”
