Poker Bot Warning Refuted By Party Poker
07th of November 2005
Party Poker.com recently refuted a claim by a famous casino gambling cheat that players face computers in poker rooms versus other real,
live human players.
Richard Marcus has a negative view about cheating online: "There is so much cheating going on," said Marcus. "Within a short amount of time we are going to see about one in a hundred people playing honestly. The rest will be using bots or it will be computers playing against computers."
The former gambling cheat is no newcomer to the ways of defrauding casinos; he and his team of experts did so for 25 years, in Atlantic City, Monte Carlo, London and Las Vegas, raking in a reputed $5 million. Now writing books on his experiences, he warns that online cheating is much easier than live casinos.
Party Poker.com has this to say in response, through a spokesperson: "I can't speak for other sites but the people sitting there on our
virtual poker tables are very real."
