National Poker League to Start in June
18th 2006f May 2006
All eyes are on Las Vegas for the upcoming kick off to the World Series of Poker, their pumps primed by all the recent action on the World Poker Tour, but the WSOP is not the only game in town during the month of June. The new kid on the block, the National Poker League, will be getting underway with the Vegas Open on June 2nd at Caesars Palace in Sin City. The ten-week tour will start there, with shows filmed for broadcast on the INHD network, giving Hi Def poker fans a treat. Each of the ten events has a one thousand dollar buy in.
Different from the WSOP, the winners of each match will come together for a heads up style showdown, with the five heads up winners moving to a final table to wrap things up.
