Ladies Online Poker Arrives

It wasn't long ago in the big scheme of things that women were not welcome in the poker room. Poker was a game relegated to cutthroats and card sharps, and women were not around to try their skills. Over time this has changed and now women poker players, while still outnumbered, are fairly frequent. Some of the more popular events of big time poker tours, such as the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker, are the "Ladies" events, where women only compete to prove their poker prowess. Now online poker room Absolute Poker has opened a women only poker site, AP Lady. With this site Absolute Poker hopes to draw in women who are new to the game and looking for a non threatening environment in which to play.
