Home Game Supported by Poker Players Alliance

The Poker Players Alliance has been getting some press lately, as they spoke up recently in Washington, DC, along with big-time poker pros such as Chris "Jesus" Ferguson. The outfit was there to argue the validity of legalizing online poker, a hot button topic in many political forums around the country. When a home game in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina was raided by South Carolina police, the Poker Players Alliance felt the situation was unfair and decided to throw their support behind the people affected.
The poker game, held in a private residence, had around $250 in cash for the game itself. This money was seized by the police but in addition the authorities checked the pockets, purses, and wallets of everyone in the home, seizing over $6,000 in the process. The PPA sent out an email message offering their support.
