Holy Land Poker
31st 2006f January 2006
This coming February will be the beginning of a poker tournament set in the Holy Land, giving residents the chance of facing off against other poker players to win fame and cash without having to fly around the globe to Las Vegas to do so. The Israel Poker Association's Pokerface 2006 tournament event will get under way on February 7 at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds. The event will last for thirteen weeks.
The cost to play is over 500 NIS apiece, and some 320 players are expected to pay to play. The Sit-N-Go events and the multi table events will run the length of the tournament, and will culminate in April with a three day championship event, which will feature the top 90 players. Winners can expect a cut of the fifty thousand dollar prize pool, including a seat in the Las Vegas World Series of Poker.
