Gambling Site Offers £5m to Kate Moss
30th 2005f September 2005
Online poker site nine.com polled its customers, seeking opinions on whether they felt supermodel Kate Moss had irreversibly damaged her image by the recent revelation she had used cocaine. The answers that came back were positive enough the company faxed an offer to Moss’s agents, seeking to secure her as spokeswoman for their site.
When Moss’s image was spread across various media outlets showing her using cocaine, the inevitable backlash occurred, with most of her contracts being terminated with outfits like Channel. H&M, Burberry, with only the cosmetics firm Rimmel standing by the Corydon-born Moss.
The contract offered to Moss stipulates certain conditions to be met if she were to accept the £5m. The five-year contract outlined attendance at drug rehab and two months of testing by the companies headquarters to prove she was not using drugs. No reply has come from the Moss camp in response to the offer.
