Finland Launches Play Poker Site Online

In what could be the very first case of an online poker site supporting itself solely on advertising revenue, the Swedish Betsson announced recently that they have a free game for interested poker players. The online poker game, which is complexly free of charge in Finland, will open in February of this year. The site will be the first in Finland where the players are facing each other on the Internet and not a machine. While the site is for play money only, the Betsson company is anticipating many players, as many as tens of thousands, who will be enthusiastic to join up.
Most poker sites will offer free play, either as part of their main site or in a sister site, which are just mirror images of pay sites. These play money sites hope to draw in pay players from the play sites.
