Ed McMahon Helps Open Poker Club
21st of March 2006
Ed McMahon, once the famous side kick to the longest running host of The Tonight Show, Johnny Carson, once again paired up to put on a show, this time with Muncie, Indiana Mayor Dan Canan as the celebrity and politician duo opened The Royal Crown Hold 'Em Club to the public. This is not the first such poker club in Muncie, although it may be the first to focus so much on the super popular poker variant known as Texas Hold 'Em, but it did get plenty of great reactions from the first members of the public inside its doors.
While the legal state of poker in the area sometimes seem to waffle back and forth, the club's owners are confident that they will not have any problems, pointing out that they are neither associated with a charity nor a bingo parlor.
