Canadian Poker Players Pay No Taxes

Lower age limits and no taxes make Canadian poker players a lucky breed. They have a few advantages that their southern counterparts in America would love to enjoy. For starters Canadians can start playing poker for money as early as age 19, instead of the 21 year old limit across most of the States. In addition, the lack of taxation on their winnings mean the Canadian players can keep all that they win. Even in Australia that is an iffy proposition, where WSOP winner Joe Hachem had to get a ruling from the government before they gave him a pass on his ten million Australian.
The country has a few advantages over America in general as well. With different laws they have different income streams, such as the Kahnawake Gaming Commission, which regulates online poker sites such as Full Tilt Poker and Poker Stars.
