Banning Online Poker on College's Mind
08th 2006f September 2006
With the state of online poker hanging in the balance now that the United States Senate will be reconvening for the fall session, many institutions are taking the initiative to ban online poker in their own way. Even some online poker web sites have blocked their United States customers just to be on the safe side and some colleges are considering doing something similar. Recently the students and administrators of DeSales University held a discussion on whether or not to block all university computers from access to online gambling sites. Turning into a debate about personal freedom, the president of the University eventually decided to leave things as they were that many poker playing students considered it a close call.
