Anti-Online Poker Bill Leaves Out Horse Racing

The critics of Representative Goodlattes's anti internet gambling bill, H.R. 4411, want to know why the deal seems to focus so heavily on Internet poker, and secondarily online casinos and sports betting, and yet leaves out two of the biggest online gambling industries in the world today, namely horse racing and the lottery. The critics, such as the American Gambling Association and the Poker Player Alliance, ask the tough questions about why the horseracing industry is exempt from this bill, although it seems pretty obvious why lotteries are exempt, considering that they provide money to flush governmental infrastructure.
These and other critics point out that if the US government would focus on regulating and legalizing online poker, for instance, they could benefit from a cash inflow on taxes of income alone in the billions of dollars.
