Texas Holdem Table

You don't some special kind of table in order to play Texas Holdem. Any table will be OK for it. You even do not have to covet it with a green cloth if don't have one. 2 to 12 players can sit at one poker table (the maximum amount can be different in various casinos). There is a dealer at a poker table if you are playing in casino. However there is also a button. The button is used in home games to define who the dealer is. It moves clockwise after each hand. And though casino players do not deal the cards themselves the button does remain because the first player sitting on the left to the button posts a Big Blind and the player sitting next to him posts a Small Blind. They act first and their position is called "the early position" or "under the gun". By the way your strategy and playing style should depend greatly on your position at a poker table. There are early, middle and late positions. Each has its own advantages and risks which you have to take into account.
